Get organized and see better results!

Do you plan the content for your website and marketing with topics, SEO, deadline dates and more via an editorial calendar?Do you have an editorial calendar?

Well, if you have a podcast, it’s important to organize when and what you are going to talk about in the future. This helps provide unique messaging that accompanies your overall, sales goals and offers valuable information to your target market.

Here are 3 Tips to Prepare for your Next Podcast:

1.     Ask yourself some questions.

What does your audience care about right now?

How you can provide solutions to their problems in a unique and interesting way?

How much information can you cover in the amount of time that you have?

What interesting events, holidays, activities, etc. are coming up that relate to your podcast?

Ask some basic questions to help you start your plan.

2.     Get organized.

Take your answers and decide what you are going to talk about and when. Then, make a schedule of topics and dates. Also, add any notes you need to remember. You can use a simple Excel spreadsheet, Word document, Google Doc, or any kind of system that’s simple for you to use.

This will help you prepare for your next recording and know what’s coming up in the future. Then, you can research current trends, potential guests, news, and more relative to your various topics. And you won’t be scrambling to get organized at the last minute.

3. Keep your editorial calendar live.

Once you have your editorial calendar, know that it is a live document that you will update and change on a regular basis. This way, you can keep your topics fresh and relative to current activities, and make necessary edits when news and trends change.

Creating an editorial calendar doesn’t need to be difficult. But, it is essential to meet the needs of your target market, organize valuable content and provide current information in an interesting and entertaining way.
